Progress.

Hi everyone, well I've managed to spend some quality time this week on my own build and a few other things.

As you can see from the photo i have just about managed to complete two walls now, both windows are installed and the door is well on its way to being completed ( photos will follow ), nothing has been glued in place just yet as i still have holes to drill in the floor which will allow for the wiring to be taken into the base i also want to paint the walls before they are permanently fixed in position, i guess it doesn't really look like much has been done but I'm happy with the amount i have achieved in the time I've had.
In between doing this and waiting for glue to dry i decided to have a go at a small painting in oils.

Its painted on a wooden panel and depicts a scene from the coast where i spent some time this year, i enjoyed doing this and hopefully will find the time to do some more.
Have a great weekend everyone. Tony.

  6. Hi Tony! Your tiny painting is Lovely! It almost feels like I could walk into that shore! Are those geese heading south...? And you are making progress on your room! It is looking very elegant with the paneling and the bookshelves! Who wouldn't want to have a room like that even if it is only in miniature? I am sure it will only get better as you add all your tiny creations too!

    1. Thanks Daydreamer, there's always plenty of wildfowl around that coastline at this time of year sometimes in such large amounts its actually quite amazing to watch them.

  10. It may not look like a lot of work to some, but I can appreciate how much time and effort it takes to get it this far. You don't often see windows at the back of a miniature room, but I always think it looks beautiful when you see the light casting a shadow across the floor. The painting is fab too. =0)

    1. Thanks Giac , you know i think we all gain enthusiasm from each other making miniatures, The ideas we have can sometimes seem impossible to create yet viewing what we all contribute to making those ideas become reality gives a lot of us the courage to have a go and make something special.
      Best wishes Tony.

  14. Well worth the wait Tony - I'm impressed! Even left as it is in it's unpainted state, it's a lovely room and I like the bookcases at the doorway - a great idea. You're clearly a man of many talents with your little painting, it's lovely too.

  15. It's great to see the progress in the room Tony, although it's less than you hoped because of time. I really like rooms like this, built in bookcases, panelling, fireplace, can't wait to see more! And that's a lovely painting and a wonderful keepsake of a nice memory. And smart to develop new talents while waiting for glue to dry :D
